Berkshire Recruiting Services was founded by Ed Parsons in 2003 in Alpharetta, Georgia, a suburb north of Atlanta. After completing an MBA from the University of Montana, Ed worked as an IT professional for 10+ years as a Business Analyst, Project Manager and IT Manager. Over the next fifteen years, Ed worked for a national recruiting agency, an executive recruiting firm and as Director of Staffing for an IT consulting services company before forming Berkshire Recruiting.

Ken has over 25 years of IT industry search experience. Ken has a B.Sc. and a Graduate Diploma in Business from Lakehead University in Ontario, Canada. Hired by IBM Canada as a large systems engineer, Ken moved to the search business with Source Services in 1982 where he managed an IT branch office in Toronto and later relocated to the company's Atlanta office in 1994. Ken trained Ed in search at Source Services before becoming a Partner with Magellan Partners and then joining Ed at Berkshire in August 2006.

BRS was recommended to me by an out of state CIO friend and colleague, after I had relocated to Atlanta to take over as CEO of a high-growth Atlanta healthcare company. We urgently needed to hire an IT Director to build out a team. BRS convinced me of the importance in utilizing their retained approach to quickly recruit hard to find talent and he was right.


They really took time to understand the company, our business and our short and long term needs and goals. They then did a tremendous job of finding and vetting excellent candidates and in the end, we had a difficult decision to make, which is a good problem to have.
